League Rules
Welcome to our Chattanooga Racing fantasy league. Our goal is to provide an entertaining, friendly competition, with a chance to end the year with your pocket full of cash. Cost: Beginning January 25th, 2 hours before the Rolex 24 in Daytona green flag (at Noon) everyone is required to turn in their picks. Cost is $25 to buy in for the season. Your buy in will go towards the pot that is up for win at the end of the season, plus misc trophy costs (estimated $30). Picks: Each race, you have the opportunity the week before to turn in your picks, these picks can be submitted no later than two hours prior to the green flag. The number of picks are as follows: Rolex 24, 12 Hours of Sebring & Petit Le Mans : Since these races involve a larger grid, and a longer race time, the amount of picks in each class are increased, and the amount of points are doubled. The Amount of picks for each class may change depending on the entry list, and can be found on the entry list and/or pick list for each race.
Normal Season : During the normal ALMS season, the entries list is shortened. Picks will be more limited.The Amount of picks for each class may change depending on the entry list, and can be found on the entry list and/or pick list for each race. Pick Submissions: A Link to the Pick Submission form will be on each race site. this form will also be emailed to everyone who is participating.
If team owners do not submit picks for a particular race, their picks from the previous race will be transferred. HOWEVER, only the picks that participated in the previous race will be transferred. If a reduced amount of classes participate in the previous race, only the picks in the classes that participated will be transferred.
Point Awards: Points are awarded for every pick that you have. Points are awarded for picks that are on the podium, and a base amount for picks that simply finish 70 % the race. Normal Season: 1st Place: 14 points 2nd Place: 7 points 3rd Place: 3 points Finish: 1 point Season Scoring: Throughout the entire season, scoring is tracked in the "Season Tracking" page on the left hand column. This sheet is updated by Jonathan Carson, and audited by Blake Smith throughout the season. At the end of the season the person with the highest score from all races in the season gets the entire pot of money. If you see any discrepancies please feel free to bring them to our attention. Side Bets: For other prominent races such as “24 hours of Le Mans”, “Imola”, etc… we may place side bets from time to time. The results of these picks will, in no way affect the regular season scoring above.
Tie Breaking: In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the tie is broken by the summation of all of each team's Prototype class points and comparing them. If for some reason a tie still exists, the summation will occur with PC and so on, until a higher points sum is reached.
